This is a great country store with a selection of groceries, snacks, handmade, fresh sandwiches, and Hunts Brothers pizza and wings. Of course they sell gas, diesel, ice, and ice cream. They also have other various items you may need. There’s also a US post office in the back of the store with separate hours.
Everyone at Pioneer are top knock. They provide great service and have everything one would need. I've never had anything but fabulous sandwiches and pizza. They routinely host Bar-B-Q and always sell out.
This place is the heart and soul of protem, and rightfully so, good people, groceries, and so helpful, try the pioneer bread scones and cinnamon rolls!

Went to ride the ferry close to there, stopped in to look around. The store is like you stepped back in time. They slice meat to make sandwiches, have a variety of things and the post office is right in the the store. Very charming and the workers are nice.
